The best secret dates for releasing a single in spring 2026

Every year, thousands of artists release new singles in the spring. Many think that having a good song is enough.

In reality, there's one factor in the music business that can change everything: the timing of the release. The major labels know this very well.

There are weeks when radio stations are more open to new things, programmers renew their playlists, and the public is more receptive. And then there are weeks when releasing a single simply means disappearing into the noise.

After over twenty years in the world of digital distribution and music promotion, I've decided to reveal something that's well known in the industry, but rarely talked about: there are specific windows in which releasing a single can significantly increase your chances of getting on the radio.

And spring 2026 has some particularly interesting dates. First of all, an important rule: avoid Easter week.

In 2026, Easter falls on April 5th, so the entire week from March 29th to April 5th is unfavorable for record releases, because many editorial offices are working at reduced capacity. If, however, you want to release at the right time, these are the best windows.

March 20, 2026

This is one of the first really interesting dates of the season.

We've just entered spring, and many radio stations are starting to look for fresh tracks to update their playlists. There's even less competition right now than in April, and a single has more room to grow.

This is a very good date for pop, indie, and alternative.

March 27, 2026

This is often one of the smartest weeks to release.

It's just before Easter week, and many radio stations are starting to program the music that will accompany the following months.

A song released here can rack up streams and reach radio stations with already interesting data.

April 10, 2026

This is the first real useful week after Easter.

Radio stations are back in action, many playlists are updated, and programmers are starting to look for new releases again.

For this reason, it's one of the most popular windows, even for professional labels.

April 17, 2026

This is probably the most balanced week of the entire spring.

There are no major holidays, radio stations are in full swing, and many programmers are starting to look for songs that could become prime candidates for the season's hits.

If a song has the right potential, this is a perfect window to launch it.

April 24, 2026

Late April is the time when many radio stations begin to consolidate rotations.

A song that enters playlists during this period can be played throughout the spring and summer concert season.

It's a very strong week, especially for pop, dance, and urban.

Why Spring is so important for radio

Spring is one of the most strategic times of the year for music promotion. Radio stations renew their playlists, the public is more attentive to new releases, and many artists begin planning concerts, events, and tours. If a song starts playing on the radio during this period, it can accompany the entire live cycle of the following months. And that's precisely why I decided to create something specific for this time of year.

The Spring Pack is born to promote singles in spring

Together with Radio Promoter, we created Spring Pack, a package designed to accompany the launch of a single in the spring.

The Spring Pack combines the power of radio promotion, visibility on music media, and a broader online presence in a single solution, helping artists and labels get their songs in front of the right people.

There's also a very important aspect to underline.

Spring Pack allows you to save up to 40% compared to purchasing the individual services separately. This means that it's not only a simpler solution to manage, but also much more cost-effective. When a song starts getting good radio placement, the difference is immediately noticeable.

Listening rates grow. The project becomes more visible, and professional opportunities also increase.

Good radio promotion can really help an artist take a leap in level and present themselves more strongly to labels, promoters, and event organizers.

This is why I continue to believe that working well on radio airplay is one of the smartest moves for those who want to give strength to a new release.

And spring, from this point of view, can really be the perfect time to launch your own spring HIT.
