From music to the table: everything I was not supposed to reveal on Little Big Italy

From music to the table: everything I was not supposed to reveal on Little Big Italy

There are experiences that come almost by chance, and then they end up telling a lot more than you expected.

Last year I had the opportunity to participate in a bet of Little Big Italy, produced by Banijay, and finally I can say: the episode will air Monday, April 27, 2026 at 21:30 on NOVE (and is already available on Discovery+).

Now, let's put it like this: I was a version of myself with about 24 kg in more, probably with less filter and definitely more hunger .. And maybe this was just the beauty.

An experience outside the box

Participating in the program was not just “going on TV”. It was a surreal mix of situations, laughter, completely improvised moments and others where I found myself telling things that I never thought I would have shared in that context.

Yes, because between one scope and the other, between a serious judgement and one totally questionable (my, of course), I also had the opportunity to talk about my past and my career in the music industry.

And there something curious happened:
in the midst of pasta dishes and discussions about what is “truly Italian”, I found myself telling a piece of my story.

It wasn't planned.
Or maybe.

But it came out in a natural way, without construction, without filters. And it was one of the most authentic moments of all experience.

People do everything.

Most of the credit goes to the people I've met.

Starting from Francesco Panella, who is not only a great professional, but a person with a rare ability: to put you at ease even when you are completely out of your comfort zone.

Then John and Francesca, companions of adventure with which an alchemy made of jokes, teased and moments that we probably only understood.

E Tito... dragged into this experience almost by chance, but able to live it with an irony and lightness that made everything even more memorable.

Málaga, food and organized chaos

The episode is set in Málaga, in three restaurants that brought to the table not only dishes, but true interpretations of Italy:

  • Ostería Angelino Málaga
  • Maninpasta
  • Radici Osteria Italiana

Who did better?
Good question.
The answer... obviously I don't give it to you ovviamente

Behind the scenes

As always, what you do not see is often the most important part.

An incredible staff, people who work with precision, passion and patience out of the ordinary (especially when dealing with me).

A special thanks also to those who have taken care of my image:
Shadow Zanini, which managed to give me an aesthetic sense even in a phase “+24 kg edition”, and Julia Mateo, which made everything look under control... even when it wasn't at all.

Why look at her?

Don't expect perfection.
Don't expect a flawless script.

Wait for something real, spontaneous, sometimes absurd.

And yes, maybe even some “cracked” said with extreme conviction.

In the end, that's the beauty.

I'll see you Monday.
And then we talk about it
